Who Told You That I Don't Know How Cook??

One of the things I really learned this summer (since I was left alone in our house for about two months) is to cook something for myself. I admit that I don't really have the interest or passion in cooking (but it doesn't mean that I don't know how to cook rice or other instant foods like pancit canton or noodles :)..lol). But things had just happened instantly when one day I got on the state of not liking anymore the foods I always buy in our neighbor's "carinderia" and got interested on the thing that I don't usually do...and that is to cook. I don't know what's with me that time and just decided to cook pork adobo.

Well, since I really don't know how to cook this original Filipino cuisine, I even tried surfing the net and browsed for online recipe sites. Then, I found this particular blog that tells something on how to cook adobo easily. After I was done listing down all the ingredients, I headed to the wet market to buy all this stuff. When I got home, I started to cook by boiling first the pork. Though I don't have any idea about cooking, I still know the idea of disinfecting the meat from bacterias before actually cooking it (hahaha). I guess I learned this idea from my mom  while seeing her doing this before even cooking it. Then, I chopped garlic, ginger and other condiments. The entire learning process has been easy for me because there was an online recipe that tells me what to do.

My first try of cooking pork adobo was successful. Though it doesn't even tasted that good compared to my mom's pork adobo, somehow it also tasted edible (hahaha..) Great thanks also for the online recipe site where I got the recipe for pork adobo.

My Top GLEE Songs for Season 2

Yeah! Glee Season 2 just ended last week and even though, I don't really like how this season ended (disappointed actually..), I'm still going to watch its upcoming season 3 episodes and still be its avid fan.. I just also completed all its episodes (downloaded all its episodes) and here's a short list of my favorite Glee Songs for this season:

First on the list is "TOXIC" sung by the main cast of the show. This awesome rendition, sung originally by Britney Spears, really made me to listen on it a couple of times after I had downloaded it. Until now, I still have this song in my phone and still couldn't resist its amazing beat and rhythm.

Toxic_Glee

Second on my list is the mash-up of "SINGING IN THE RAIN and UMBRELLA". What I really love with this song is how an old song was blended to a recent song to come up with an extraordinary mash-up. The lead singers on this song were Will Schuester and Holly Holiday, being the glee members as their back-up singers. Aside from the song itself, as the cast is singing this song in the show, I really like how the auditorium is transformed into a rain-inspired stage where water is actually flowing on the floor. The costumes, umbrellas and the choreography is also terrific for this song.

Singing In The Rain/Umbrella

Next is the so-called unnoticed "EMPIRE STATE OF MIND" performance by the Glee cast. The ghetto look of the cast while singing this song had also added to the entire performance. Although, people in the campus didn't even paid attention while the unwelcomed and bullied New Direction members sing this song, my ears can't really neglect this EMPIRE STATE OF MIND rendition.

Empire State of Mind

Who could ever forget Sunshine Corazon (our very own Charice) singing Vocal Adrenaline's contest piece during the New York Nationals? This New Direction auditionee and now happened to be Vocal Adrenaline's lead singer really did a fantastic job in singing "AS LONG AS YOU'RE THERE". Good job Charice!!

As Long As You're There

Landed on the fifth spot is the New Direction's contest piece and Glee's original composition during the New York Nationals titled "LIGHT UP THE WORLD". This upbeat song made the entire crowd in the show to have a standing ovation for New Directions. Although the song was great, it is still not enough to keep the group to be part of the top ten show choirs during the competition. :(

Light Up the World

Another spot on my list will go to Sunshine Corazon singing her own rendition of "ALL BY MYSELF". I would say that Charice had again showcased her vocal prowess singing this complicated song. In the Glee's episode where Charice sung this song, she even offered to help New Direction's quiz bee members to gain enough money for their upcoming quiz bee by inviting her 600 Twitter followers to the fund raising concert planned by New Direction members. But at the end, it just turned out that she was just messing her competitors after her team was beaten on the quiz bee elimination round.

All By Myself

Okay another spot for Charice for singing "LISTEN" as her audition piece for joining New Directions.

Listen

Glee cast singing "ONE OF US" is one of the solemn songs I ever heard. This was sung during the 3rd episode of Season 2 during Kurt's emotional downfall moment in the show. Again, the music director of the show as well as the entire cast really did a great job for this song.

One Of Us

Oh Brittany...how gorgeous you are in this song.. Brittany singing a Britney Spears original song justified the entire second episode for this season. "SLAVE FOR YOU" is one of the hottest songs being sung in this show  landing it as number 9 on my list.

Im a Slave 4 You

And last but not the least is Arthny's "STRONGER" performance from 2nd episode. Arthny has been my favorite male singer in the show (and I even see him better than Finn), so I was really amazed when he sung this Britney Spears original song. Arthny's version of Stronger turned out to be great just like with the original version of the song. Nice job Arthny!!

Buena Mano: My First Blog Post

Finally, I had created my own blog and get the chance to write my first blogpost here. I was planning this already before, but those sleepless nights of being a student (that includes a very hectic schedule) made my plan of creating my personal blog to be set aside for a while. But now, I have plenty of time to really come up with this, since I had graduated already and still on the level of being "unemployed" (that I really hope that it will not take that long)..

So why did I created this blog?

For me, it's actually a personal choice why I decided to create this blog. It just started from reading someones' blog posts and eventually, inspired me to also create one. I just got fascinated how other people share their thoughts and opinions about things through their blogs , so I guess that's actually the reason why I came up to this idea. I just also hope that time will always permit me to share something in this blog and will provide a way  for me to really express my thoughts to other people who will be soon reading my posts...

I guess that's all for now.. I'm kinda sleepy already.. It's been 5am already and I haven't sleep because of doing and customizing this blog. Bye :)

P.S.
By the way I had included the screen shot of this page while doing this first post. I just couldn't think for a more appropriate image to be attached in this post so I just decided to include the snapshot of my lappy's screen image and hoping that this will make my first blogpost more memorable (hoping.. :))
